Bournemouth Bluebird Jazz Club - Trad Jazz on most Mondays at the Bluebird Club Longham, Opposite Haskins

Upon the retirement in 2025, after 37 years together, of ABB, founder member John Holmes has teamed up with ex-Manhattan Slide keyboard player John Ackroyd, ABB drummer Brian Heeley, former Paul Weller bassist Paul Francis, and award winning harmonica player/vocalist Hugh Budden, who was front man of no. 1 UK blues band The Producers, in a new band named Third Degree.

They play a mix of blues, R&B, jump jive and boogie, with the addition of some modern soul. In less than a year together they have delighted audiences in arts centres, theatres and village halls across the South and West of England. This is a band you can listen to or dance to - or both!
